Мой оригинальный пост с форума Bethesda, за который я получил бан на две недели безо всяких объяснений со стороны модераторов: I've played F1 and F2 in 1998 and 1999 respectively and I still replay them from time to time. I don't like what I see in Fallout 3. It doesn't fell like Fallout anymore.
Here goes an explanation on main reasons:
There is no real turn-based combat, there is some kind of "pause" instead (Yes there was real-time combat in F:Tactics, but I always used TB, because I really don't like RT in this kind of games. Not because I want to be a douche by oficially hating new F, but because I simply don't want RT combat in Fallout. Reread it if you don't get it).
It would be much better, if Beths implemented that new targeting system into a turn-based combat (Or at least allowed us to switch between two (And brought back eye and groin areas of a "target dummy")). That's what I got used during ten years of playing, and I don't really want to change it. Period.
Super mutants? They should be dead already, because they become senile and weaker when they get older. Marcus mentioned it. And because I wiped out almost all of them 110 years ago. And killed some more 30 years ago, during Fallout 2. It's ok if there is another FEV source, but if they are the remnants of Masters army... That won't fit in. At all.
Enclave? I wiped them out 30 years ago, they should be scattered across the west coast (If not dead already, without the supplies from the rig and they would have been killed by the wasteland dwellers (Or assimilated with them, which is not likely, because of their racist behaviour)). Their only REAL base was on the oil rig. They had NO bases on the main land. They had to establish Navarro to refuel Vertibirds that were scouting the wasteland. That's what the "speaking head" in the Gecko's Poseidon Oil Reactor 5 says if you manage to hack into the terminal. As well as many NPC on the Rig.
Fatman - the biggest idiocy in the world, especially with the weightless ammo. The portable nuclear device, developed in the 20th century, was actually a "dirty bomb", that simply spread radioactive materials and it was launched from several kilometers, not meters! And it's "ammo" weighted A LOT (But in trailer we see a 19 year old kid easily recharging that fatman with a LEFT hand, which is usually an offhand and is weaker)
FPS needs a BFG-like gun! © Beths
Exploding nuclear cars? Wow, another idiocy. I've never known, that a bullet from conventional weapon can start a nuclear reaction. It can cause a leak of a radioactive fuel, but not a mini nuclear explosion (WTF? Did I just said mini nuclear explosion?! The smallest one I know about destroyed everything in a 20 km radius) And didn't I mention those cars were decaying for 200+ years? Have you ever seen what happens to a car, that was left under the open sky for at least 20 years?
Screw this.
2 kids: Stop bitching about old players' habits, show some respect to classics dammit. Old players know better what IS canon and what is NOT.
